The American Stroke Association has a list of each Vocational Rehab Agency in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Vocational rehabilitation services help people with strokes get back into the workforce.

The VA has some funding for home modification projects through its Home Loans program. The VA Health Benefits Service Center provides information on VA health benefits and the types of care available to Veterans. If you are new to the VA, the Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors booklet will help you get started. Also available in Spanish.

Some states have special programs for Veterans. Your local VA Medical Center may offer and pay for adult day healthcare programs and long-term housing. Talk to a social worker for more information about these benefits.
